حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ عَلِّمْنِي شَيْئًا وَلاَ تُكْثِرْ عَلَىَّ لَعَلِّي أَعِيهِ . قَالَ " لاَ تَغْضَبْ " . فَرَدَّدَ ذَلِكَ مِرَارًا كُلُّ ذَلِكَ يَقُولُ " لاَ تَغْضَبْ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ وَسُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ صُرَدٍ . وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ . وَأَبُو حَصِينٍ اسْمُهُ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ الأَسَدِيُّ .

Abu Kurayb narrated to us: Abu Bakr ibn ‘Ayyash narrated to us, from Abu Husayn, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, “Teach me something, but do not burden me with too much, so that I may retain it.” He replied: “Do not get angry.” The man repeated his request several times, and each time he said: “Do not get angry.” Abu ‘Isa said: Reports on this topic are also related from Abu Sa‘id and Sulayman ibn Surad. This hadith is hasan sahih gharib through this route. Abu Husayn’s name is ‘Uthman ibn ‘Asim al-Asadi.
