Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Musa narrated to us: Jarir informed us, from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “No child can repay a parent except if he finds him enslaved, then buys him and sets him free.”
Abu ‘Isa said: This hadith is hasan sahih. We know it only through the report of Suhayl ibn Abi Salih. Sufyan al-Thawri and more than one other narrator have transmitted this hadith from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih.
