Ahmad ibn Muhammad informed us: ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Mubarak informed us, from Sufyan, from al-A‘mash, from Abu Hazim, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never criticized food. If he wanted it, he ate it; otherwise, he left it.” Abu ‘Isa said: This hadith is hasan sahih. Abu Hazim was al-Ashja‘i al-Kufi; his name was Salman, a client of ‘Azzah al-Ashja‘iyyah.
