حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَرَفَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَعْمَارُ أُمَّتِي مَا بَيْنَ سِتِّينَ إِلَى سَبْعِينَ وَأَقَلُّهُمْ مَنْ يَجُوزُ ذَلِكَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ . وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ مِنْ غَيْرِ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .

Al-Hasan ibn ‘Arafah narrated to me; ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad narrated to me, from Muhammad ibn ‘Amr, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘The lifespans of my community are between sixty and seventy years, and few of them exceed that.’ Abu ‘Isa said: ‘This is a hasan gharib hadith through the report of Muhammad ibn ‘Amr, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah. We know it only through this route, though it has also been narrated from Abu Hurayrah through other routes.’

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .
The Arabic adds a hasan gharib grade and route qualification; the English witness omits them.
