About Waiting For Relief And Other Than That Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3572
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ الأَحْوَلُ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ، رضى الله عنه قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْبُخْلِ "وَبِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ كَانَيَتَعَوَّذُ مِنَ الْهَرَمِ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ . قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
Translation
Zaid bin Arqam [may Allah be pleased with him] said that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to say
“O Allah, indeed I seek refuge in You from laziness, helpless old age, and stinginess (Allāhumma innī a`ūdhu bika minal-kasali wal-`ajzi wal-bukhl).” And with this chain, from the Prophet (ﷺ), that he used to seek refuge from senility and the punishment of the grave.
