حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ الأَحْوَلُ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ، رضى الله عنه قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْبُخْلِ " . وَبِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَتَعَوَّذُ مِنَ الْهَرَمِ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ . قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Zayd ibn Arqam, may Allah be pleased with him, said: The Prophet ﷺ used to say: ‘O Allah, I seek refuge in You from laziness, incapacity, and miserliness.’ With this same chain, it is reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he used to seek refuge from senility and the punishment of the grave. Abu ‘Isa said: This is a hasan sahih hadith.
