Abu Sa‘id al-Ashajj narrated to us: ‘Uqbah ibn Khalid narrated to us, from Abu Sa‘d—Sa‘id ibn al-Marzuban—from Abu Salamah, from Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah said: ‘Whoever, in the evening, says, “I am pleased with Allah as Lord, Islam as religion, and Muhammad as Prophet,” Allah is entitled to make him pleased.’ Abu ‘Isa said: This hadith is hasan gharib by this route.
