Translation

Unreviewed translation. All hadiths in this collection are available in five languages. Titles and introductions may remain in Arabic.

Anas reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Let each of you ask his Lord for all his needs, even asking Him for the sandal strap when it breaks.’ This is a gharib hadith. More than one narrator transmitted it from Ja‘far ibn Sulayman, from Thabit al-Bunani, from the Prophet ﷺ, without mentioning Anas.

Notes and open questions — unreviewed
  • ‏ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرُوا فِيهِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ ‏.

The English witness omits the gharib grade and the variant route that does not include Anas.

Should the compiler’s route variant be retained?
