Abu al-Khattab Ziyad ibn Yahya al-Basri narrated to us: Azhar al-Samman narrated to us, from Ibn ‘Awn, from Ibn Sirin, from ‘Abidah, from ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: ‘Fatimah complained to me that her hands were sore from grinding flour. I said, “Why don’t you go to your father and ask him for a servant?” He said, “Shall I direct you both to something better for you than a servant? When you go to bed, say thirty-three times tahmid, thirty-three times tasbih, and thirty-four times takbir.”’ The hadith contains a further account. Abu ‘Isa said: This hadith is hasan gharib through Ibn ‘Awn. It has also been transmitted by other routes from ‘Ali.
