Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-A‘la al-San‘ani narrated to us: ‘Atham ibn ‘Ali narrated to us, from al-A‘mash, from ‘Ata’ ibn al-Sa’ib, from his father, from ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said: ‘I saw the Messenger of Allah counting the tasbih.’ Abu ‘Isa said: This hadith is hasan gharib through al-A‘mash.
