Muhammad ibn Bashshar narrated to us; Mu‘adh ibn Hisham narrated to us; my father narrated to me, from Qatadah, from Abu al-‘Aliyah, from Ibn ‘Abbas, that the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would supplicate in distress: ‘There is no god but Allah, the Forbearing. There is no god but Allah, Lord of the Mighty Throne. There is no god but Allah, Lord of the heavens and the earth and Lord of the Noble Throne.’ Muhammad ibn Bashshar narrated to us; Ibn Abi ‘Adi narrated to us, from Hisham, from Qatadah, from Abu al-‘Aliyah, from Ibn ‘Abbas, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), similarly. He said: ‘There is also a report on this subject from ‘Ali. This is a hasan sahih hadith.’

لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ الْعَلِيُّ الْحَلِيمُ
The Arabic epithet is al-Halim (the Forbearing), not al-Hakim (the Wise). The witness also omits the alternate chain and closing grading.
Should the epithet be translated as ‘the Forbearing’ and the alternate route included?
