Qutaybah narrated to us; al-Layth narrated to us, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, from al-Harith ibn Ya‘qub, from Ya‘qub ibn ‘Abdullah ibn al-Ashajj, from Busr ibn Sa‘id, from Sa‘d ibn Abi Waqqas, from Khawlah bint Hakim al-Sulamiyyah, from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), who said: ‘Whoever alights at a place and then says, “I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created,” nothing will harm him until he departs from that place.’ He said: ‘This is a hasan sahih gharib hadith. Malik ibn Anas reported this hadith as having reached him from Ya‘qub ibn ‘Abdullah ibn al-Ashajj, with similar wording. This hadith was also reported from Ibn ‘Ajlan, from Ya‘qub ibn ‘Abdullah ibn al-Ashajj, who said: from Sa‘id ibn al-Musayyab, from Khawlah. The hadith of al-Layth is more sound than the report of Ibn ‘Ajlan.’’

The Arabic adds two alternate transmission forms and states that al-Layth's route is more sound; the English witness ends after the report itself.
Should the route comparison be retained alongside the hadith translation?
