Ahmad ibn Abi ‘Ubaydullah al-Sulaymi al-Basri narrated to us; Abu Qutaybah—Salim ibn Qutaybah—narrated to us, from Ibrahim ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid ibn Umayyah, from Nafi‘, from Ibn ‘Umar, who said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) bade someone farewell, he would take his hand and not let it go until the man himself let go of the Prophet’s hand. He would say: ‘I entrust your religion, your trust, and the conclusion of your deeds to Allah.’ He said: ‘This is a gharib hadith through this route. This hadith has also been narrated by other routes from Ibn ‘Umar.’’

The Arabic notes additional routes from Ibn ‘Umar; the English witness omits this comment.
Should the compiler's note about other routes be retained?
