‘Abdullah ibn Abi Ziyad narrated to us; Sayyar narrated to us; Ja‘far ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas, who said: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: ‘Messenger of Allah, I intend to travel, so provide me with provisions.’ He replied: ‘May Allah provide you with God-consciousness.’ The man said: ‘Give me more.’ He said: ‘And may He forgive your sin.’ He said: ‘Give me more; may my father and mother be sacrificed for you.’ He said: ‘And may He make goodness easy for you wherever you may be.’ He said: ‘This is a hasan gharib hadith.’
