‘Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Aswad Abu ‘Amr al-Basri narrated to us; Muhammad ibn Rabi‘ah narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from ‘Ata’, from ‘Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw the wind, he would say: ‘O Allah, I ask You for its good, the good within it, and the good with which it was sent; and I seek refuge in You from its evil, the evil within it, and the evil with which it was sent.’ Abu ‘Isa said: ‘There is also a report on this subject from Ubayy ibn Ka‘b (may Allah be pleased with him). This is a hasan hadith.’
