Abu Sa‘id al-Ashajj narrated to us; Hafs ibn Ghiyath and Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from Hajjaj ibn Artah, from Riyah ibn ‘Ubaydah. Hafs said: ‘From Abu Sa‘id’s nephew.’ Abu Khalid said: ‘From a client of Abu Sa‘id, from Abu Sa‘id (may Allah be pleased with him),’ who said: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate or drank, he would say: ‘Praise belongs to Allah, who fed us, gave us drink, and made us Muslims.’

The source gives two versions of the transmitter between Riyah ibn ‘Ubaydah and Abu Sa‘id: Hafs says his nephew, while Abu Khalid says a client of Abu Sa‘id.
