‘Ali ibn Khashram narrated to us; ‘Isa ibn Yunus narrated to us, from ‘Ubaydullah ibn Abi Ziyad al-Qaddah—as he stated—from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Asma’ bint Yazid, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘The Greatest Name of Allah is in these two verses: “Your God is One God; there is no god but He, the Most Merciful, the Compassionate”; and in the opening of Al ‘Imran: “Alif Lam Mim. Allah—there is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer.”’ Abu ‘Isa said: ‘This is a hasan sahih hadith.’
