Isma‘il ibn Musa al-Kufi narrated to us; Dawud ibn al-Zibriqan narrated to us, from Matar al-Warraq, from Nafi‘, from Ibn ‘Umar, who said: One day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to his Companions: ‘Say “Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him” one hundred times. Whoever says it once, ten will be recorded for him; whoever says it ten times, one hundred will be recorded for him; and whoever says it one hundred times, one thousand will be recorded for him. Whoever does more, Allah will increase him; and whoever seeks forgiveness, Allah will forgive him.’ Abu ‘Isa said: ‘This is a hasan gharib hadith.’
