Ibn Abi ‘Umar narrated to us: Sufyan narrated to us, from ‘Abd al-Malik ibn ‘Umayr, from Rib‘i ibn Hirash, from Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman (may Allah be pleased with them both), that when the Prophet wanted to sleep, he would place his hand beneath his head and say: ‘O Allah, protect me from Your punishment on the Day You gather—or resurrect—Your servants.’ This hadith is hasan sahih.
