Abu Salamah ibn Abd al-Rahman reported that the Messenger of Allah went out one day with Abu Bakr and Umar, and he related a report similar in meaning to the preceding hadith, but without Abu Hurayrah in its chain. The route of Shayban is fuller and longer than that of Abu Awanah. Shayban was considered trustworthy and was a scholar who kept a written collection. This report is also narrated through another route from Abu Hurayrah and from Ibn Abbas.
