Maḥmūd ibn Ghaylān narrated to us: al-Faḍl ibn Mūsā narrated to us, from Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr, from Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah, who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Remember often the destroyer of pleasures'—meaning death. A report on this subject is also related from Abū Saʿīd. Abū ʿĪsā said: 'This hadith is ḥasan gharīb.'
