Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ، يَقُولُ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ مَا رَأَيْتُ الْوَجَعَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Mahmud bin Ghaylan narrated to us: Abu Dawud informed us: Shu'bah informed us, from Al-A'mash, who said: I heard Abu Wa'il say that 'Aishah said: I have never seen anyone suffer more severely from illness than the Messenger of Allah. Abu 'Isa said: This hadith is hasan sahih.
