حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ حَمْزَةَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو الأَسْلَمِيَّ، سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الصَّوْمِ فِي السَّفَرِ وَكَانَ يَسْرُدُ الصَّوْمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنْ شِئْتَ فَصُمْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَفْطِرْ " . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو وَأَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ وَحَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الأَسْلَمِيِّ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ حَمْزَةَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Aishah narrated that Hamzah ibn Amr al-Aslami asked the Messenger of Allah about fasting while traveling. He regularly observed the fast, and the Messenger of Allah said: If you wish, then fast; if you wish, then break your fast. Reports on this topic are also narrated from Anas ibn Malik, Abu Said, Abdullah ibn Masud, Abdullah ibn Amr, Abu al-Darda, and Hamzah ibn Amr al-Aslami. Abu Isa said: The hadith of Aishah concerning Hamzah ibn Amr asking the Prophet is hasan sahih.
