Qutaibah narrated to us: Abu Al-Ahwas narrated to us, from Simak bin Harb, from Ibn Umm Hani', from Umm Hani', who said: I was sitting with the Prophet when a drink was brought. He drank from it, then passed it to me, and I drank. I said, ‘I have done wrong, so ask Allah to forgive me.’ He asked, ‘What happened?’ I said, ‘I was fasting and broke my fast.’ He asked, ‘Was it a fast you were making up?’ I said, ‘No.’ He replied, ‘Then it does not harm you.’ Reports on this topic are also narrated from Abu Sa'id and 'Aishah.
