Mahmud bin Ghaylan narrated to us: Bishr bin As-Sari narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Talhah bin Yahya, from 'Aishah bint Talhah, from 'Aishah, Mother of the Believers, who said: The Prophet used to come to me and ask, ‘Do you have breakfast?’ I would say, ‘No,’ and he would say, ‘Then I am fasting.’ One day he came to me, and I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, we have received a gift.’ He asked, ‘What is it?’ I replied, ‘Hais.’ He said, ‘I began the day fasting.’ Then she said that he ate. Abu 'Isa said: This hadith is hasan.
