Abu Bakr bin Nafi' Al-Basri narrated to us: Mas'ud bin Wasil narrated to us, from Nahhas bin Qahm, from Qatadah, from Sa'id bin Al-Musayyab, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet, who said: ‘There are no days in which worship is more beloved to Allah than the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah. Fasting each of these days is equivalent to fasting for a year, and spending each night in prayer is equivalent to spending the Night of Decree in prayer.’ Abu 'Isa said: This hadith is gharīb; we know it only through Mas'ud bin Wasil, from Nahhas. He said: I asked Muhammad about this hadith, and he knew of no version like it through any route other than this one. Something similar has been reported from Qatadah, from Sa'id bin Al-Musayyab, from the Prophet as a mursal report. Yahya bin Sa'id criticized Nahhas bin Qahm's memory.
