Ali ibn Hujr told us: Ismail ibn Jafar told us, from Humayd, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, swore to abstain from his wives for a month and stayed in an upper room for twenty-nine days. They said: Messenger of Allah, you swore to abstain for a month. He replied: ‘A month is twenty-nine days.’ Abu Isa said: This is a hasan sahih hadith.
