Humayd bin Mas'adah narrated to us: Yazid bin Zurai' narrated to us: 'Uyaynah bin 'Abdur-Rahman narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to me: Laylat al-Qadr was mentioned in Abu Bakrah's presence, and he said: ‘I seek it only during the last ten nights, because I heard the Messenger of Allah say: “Seek it when nine nights remain, or when seven remain, or when five remain, or during the last three nights, or on the final night.”’ Abu Bakrah used to pray during the first twenty nights of Ramadan as he prayed during the rest of the year; when the last ten began, he would exert himself. Abu 'Isa said: This hadith is hasan sahih.
