Al-Fadl ibn Sahl al-A‘raj al-Baghdadi narrated to us: Ibrahim ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Ibrahim ibn ‘Umar ibn Safinah, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: I ate bustard meat with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Abu ‘Isa said: This hadith is gharīb (rare); we know it only by this route. Ibn Abi Fudayk reported from Ibrahim ibn ‘Umar ibn Safinah, whose name is also given as Burayh ibn ‘Umar ibn Safinah.
