Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1829
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَنَّ عَطَاءَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّهَا ، قَرَّبَتْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم جَنْبًا مَشْوِيًّا فَأَكَلَ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ وَمَا تَوَضَّأَ . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ وَالْمُغِيرَةِ وَأَبِي رَافِعٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .

Al-Hasan ibn Muhammad al-Za‘farani narrated to us: Hajjaj ibn Muhammad narrated to us: Ibn Jurayj said: Muhammad ibn Yusuf informed me that ‘Ata’ ibn Yasar informed him that Umm Salamah informed him: She served the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) a roasted side of meat. He ate from it, then stood for prayer without performing ablution. Reports on this topic also come from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Harith, al-Mughirah, and Abu Rafi‘. Abu ‘Isa said: This hadith is hasan sahih gharīb (good, authentic, and rare) by this route.

The Arabic explicitly says roasted meat from the side/rib (janban mashwiyyan); it does not specify which animal.
