حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ، وَمَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُحِبُّ الْحَلْوَاءَ وَالْعَسَلَ . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ . وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ وَفِي الْحَدِيثِ كَلاَمٌ أَكْثَرُ مِنْ هَذَا .

Salamah ibn Shabib, Mahmud ibn Ghaylan, and Ahmad ibn Ibrahim al-Dawraqi said: Abu Usamah narrated to us, from Hisham ibn ‘Urwah, from his father, from ‘A’ishah, who said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) liked sweets and honey. This hadith is hasan sahih gharīb (good, authentic, and rare). ‘Ali ibn Mushir also reported it from Hisham ibn ‘Urwah. There is more discussion in the hadith than what is included here.
