حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم احْتَزَّ مِنْ كَتِفِ شَاةٍ فَأَكَلَ مِنْهَا ثُمَّ مَضَى إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ .

Mahmud ibn Ghaylan narrated to us: ‘Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us: Ma‘mar informed us, from al-Zuhri, from Ja‘far ibn ‘Amr ibn Umayyah al-Damri, from his father, who saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cut meat from a sheep's shoulder and eat from it. Then he went to prayer without performing ablution. Abu ‘Isa said: This hadith is hasan sahih (good and authentic). There is also a report on this topic from al-Mughirah ibn Shu‘bah.
