حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِيَمِينِهِ وَلْيَشْرَبْ بِيَمِينِهِ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ وَيَشْرَبُ بِشِمَالِهِ " .

‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman narrated to us: Ja‘far ibn ‘Awn narrated to us, from Sa‘id ibn Abi ‘Arubah, from Ma‘mar, from al-Zuhri, from Salim, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘When one of you eats, let him eat with his right hand and drink with his right hand, for Satan eats with his left hand and drinks with his left hand.’

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ،
The English witness presents al-Zuhri as the narrator heading and omits Ma‘mar and the transmitters before him; in the Arabic, al-Zuhri is one link in a longer chain.
Should the heading be changed to reflect the full chain and avoid treating al-Zuhri as the report's narrator?
