Muhammad ibn Bashshar reported to us from Yahya ibn Said, from Sufyan, who said: Salm ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Nakha i reported to me from Abu Zurah ibn Amr ibn Jarir, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet, that he disliked shikal among horses.

Abu Isa said: This hadith is hasan sahih. Shu bah also transmitted a similar report from Abdullah ibn Yazid al-Khath ami, from Abu Zurah, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet. Abu Zurah ibn Amr ibn Jarir’s name was Harim.

Muhammad ibn Humayd al-Razi reported to us; Jarir reported to us from Umarah ibn al-Qa qa, who said: Ibrahim al-Nakha i said to me: When you narrate from me, narrate from me through Abu Zurah, for he once narrated a hadith to me. I asked him about it years later, and he had not omitted a single letter from it.
