Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلمنَهَى عَنِ الْوَسْمِ فِي الْوَجْهِ وَالضَّرْبِ .قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
Translation
Narrated Jabir
"The Prophet (ﷺ) prohibited branding on the face and striking (it)."
[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.
