Muhammad ibn Humayd al-Razi reported to us from Salamah ibn al-Fadl, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf, who said: The Prophet arrayed us at Badr during the night.
Abu Isa said: A report on this subject also comes from Abu Ayyub. This hadith is gharib; we know it only through this chain. I asked Muhammad ibn Ismail about this hadith, but he did not know it. He said that Muhammad ibn Ishaq had heard from Ikrimah. When I saw him, he thought well of Muhammad ibn Humayd al-Razi; later he regarded him as weak.
