Muhammad ibn Bashshar narrated to us: Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us: Hammam narrated to us, from Qatadah, from al-Nadr ibn Anas, from Bashir ibn Nahik, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet, who said: If a man has two wives and does not deal justly between them, he will come on the Day of Resurrection with one side of his body drooping. Abu Isa said: Only Hammam ibn Yahya traced this hadith back to the Prophet from Qatadah. Hisham al-Dastawa'i reported it from Qatadah as something that was said. We know this hadith as traced back to the Prophet only through Hammam, who is trustworthy and precise.
