حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَمَّارٍ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَجَلِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ، وَهُوَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ فِي يَوْمِ عِيدٍ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ قَبْلَهَا وَلاَ بَعْدَهَا وَذَكَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَعَلَهُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Abu Ammar al-Husayn ibn Hurayth told us: Waki told us, from Aban ibn Abdullah al-Bajali, from Abu Bakr ibn Hafs, namely Ibn Umar ibn Sad ibn Abi Waqqas, from Ibn Umar, that he went out on an Eid day and performed no prayer before or after it, mentioning that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, had done the same. Abu Isa said: This hadith is hasan sahih.
