General Behavior (Kitab Al-Adab)

Abdullah ibn Mughaffal said: The Messenger of Allah forbade flicking small stones with the fingers. He said: They do not catch game or wound an enemy; they only put out an eye or break a tooth.

Umm Atiyya al-Ansariyya reported that a woman in Medina used to perform female circumcision. The Prophet told her: Do not cut severely, for that is more favorable for the woman and more pleasing to the husband. Abu Dawud said: A similar report with this chain was narrated from Ubayd Allah ibn Amr, but it is not strong and has also been transmitted as mursal. Abu Dawud added: Muhammad ibn Hassan is unknown, and this hadith is weak.

Humza ibn Abi Usayd al-Ansari reported from his father, who heard the Messenger of Allah say as he was leaving the mosque and men and women mixed together on the road: Women, move back, for you should not take the middle of the road; keep to its edges. A woman thereafter kept so close to the wall that her garment would catch on it.

The Prophet forbade a man to walk between two women.

Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says: The son of Adam offends Me by cursing time, while I am Time. In My hand is the command; I turn night and day. Ibn al-Sarh’s version gives Ibn al-Musayyib instead of Said. And Allah knows best.
